Romantic Tilda

Good morning,

Apologies for not posting much this week, but it has been a rather busy one. I hope you have all had a good week😊. Yesterday I went to the Make It craft show at Farnborough and boy did I have a good spend. I have been thinking about buying the Crafters Companion Gemini die cutting machine for some time and guess what I ordered one, they had them on special offer but sadly had run out of stock at the show, but I  should receive mine within a couple of weeks, I am so excited. I treated myself to lots more goodies too.

Today I am sharing a card I made a little while ago using an old Tilda called 'Romantic Tilda'. She has  been coloured with DI reinkers. To create the shading around her I have painted with Gansai Tambi paints. Instead of painting her cute socks I used some star dust stickles which makes them nice and sparkly.

The papers are by Lemoncraft from the Heart Painted paper pad.

Peeping out from the left hand side is an 8 point Joy die and to the right is a Little Darlings Lovely View die. The leaves and butterflies are also cut from  Joy dies.

The flowers are from my stash.

The lace, pearl string, pearl trim and papers are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Spun Sugar
Hat: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Shoes: Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Black Soot
Umbrella: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot

Don't forget there is plenty of time left to enter our current challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia, where the theme is an easy peasy 'Anything Goes', we have a fabulous prize to give away  from the Ribbon Girls.

Well that's it from me today.

Have a fab Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

Ribbon Girl Inspirational Card

Good morning,

I hope you are all well.

This morning I am sharing an inspirational card for the Ribbon Girl which is  different style of card for me, without an image, oh my goodness that was hard to do.

For Christmas I was very lucky to receive two sets of the Rosy Owl flower dies, a large and small. I have been longing to make up a large flower using fomairan.  The petals have been edged with Aged Mahogany distress ink and  some white stamens added to the centre.

The papers are by Maja from the from the Autumn Basics paper pad which is full of fabulous double sided papers and  I've distressed the edges using a Tim Holtz paper distresser.

The flowers have been mounted onto a Round Doily Lace chipboard piece. I  stamped a couple of Happy Birthday tags in co-orindating paper and placed them underneath the flowers.

The beautiful ivory embroidered tulle lace which is running lengthways has been edged with some pearl trim. The pink ribbon is a lush hot pink berisford satin.

The lace bow is made from ivory scalloped lace and I've placed a pearl cluster in the centre.

Unfortunately, since I made this card the stunning butterfly charm is now out of stock, but the Ribbon Girl have plenty of other fabulous things to choose from.

The materials I have used (apart form the butterfly) are listed below, just click on a picture to be taken to the product.

Well that's it from me today, I hope you like it.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy

Good morning,

I hope you are all having a good week! It has been half term here this week so I've had the week off. I have taken it easy, I had a trip in town where I met my eldest son for lunch, done some walking and of course spent some time in my craft room, bliss!

This morning I am popping in share a card I made for  our new challenge at Fussy and Fancy, our theme is Ribbon and Lace.

This is another Dreamerland stamp I bought at my local craft show called 'Big Shoes To Fill', I have added a few extra pleats to her dress. The white dots have been created with a white Sakura Gelly roll pen and she has been coloured with  DI reinkers.

The white frame has been cut from a Spellbinders Art Noveau frame, and the tassels I cut using a Marianne die.

Underneath the image is some cheesecloth and I've draped some pink pearl string around the card.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called label love.

A lot of the products I have used are from the Ribbon Girl, I have posted the items at the bottom of this post.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Victorian Velvet
Shoes: Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet

The winner of this challenge will be offered the chance to join us with a GDT spot.

That's it from me today.

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for popping in.

Reminder card for the Paradise of Stamps - Walk with Me Hand in Hand

Good morning everyone,

I am here to share my reminder DT card for the Paradise of Stamps for the current challenge Valentines Day.

I came across this cute stamp at a recent craft fair I attended and fell in love with it. The name of the stamp is 'Walk with Me Hand in Hand' by Dreamerland Crafts and I loved colouring it up with my DI reinkers.

I've placed some red heart confetti  around the outside of the image and added a blue haze around the image with my Gansai Tambi paints.

The heart die peeping out from the top is a Joy die and the red heart has been cut from a LaLa Crafts die.

The pearls, rose, carnation, ribbon , pearl trim, red berry and lace are all from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the products are at the bottom of this page, just click on an image to be taken directly to the product.

The cute bark heart is from my stash.

Tilda with Bow Knot

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. I have been fairly poorly with a virus and have been off work for the past 4 and a half days, it is quite unusual for me to be so poorly, but the good news is, I am starting to feel better now and have ventured out this weekend to get some fresh air.

Today I am sharing  a card I made recently using the lovely Tilda with Big Bow Knot. As always she has been coloured with distress inks. I used a white Sakura gel pen to add the dots to her cheeks.  The pretty little swirls that I have added to two of the corners is from a Stempelglede stamp from the Vintage garden set.

The lovely view peeping out from the left hand side is a Little Darlings and the two tags have been cut from a Joy tag die.

The flowers, lace, ribbon  and pearl gems are from the Ribbon Girl, although I don't think the lace or ribbon is currently in stock, but there are plenty of alternatives  in the shop that you can choose from.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dungarees & Shoes: Walnut Stain, Pumice Stone, Black Soot
T-Shirt and Flower: Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet
Background: Hickory Smoke, Picked Raspberry, Black Soot

Gansai Tambi Paints: 139 Purple, 40 Bright Yellow

Don't forget over at the LHOSM we have an 'Anything Goes' challenge on at the moment with a great prize up for grabs, we would love to see you join us.

That's it from me today.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend and thank you for popping in.
