Dreamerland Crafts - Holiday Greetings

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all ready for the big day, not long now. I am almost ready, I've still got some wrapping to do and one more card to make.

Well only a few hours left and then the school holidays begin yay!! I am currently making my last Christmas card and I've saved the hardest one until last as it is for my hubby! I have decided to try and paint a scene - my first attempt went in the bin, so wish me luck for my second attempt.

Anyway before I sign off for Christmas I thought I would share one more Christmas card using another of the Dreamerland Crafts  stamps from the 2017 Fall collection. This fabulous stamp is called 'Holiday Greetings'.

Holiday Greetings
I have coloured the image with DI reinkers and I have used glamour dust for the bobble, trim on the dress, cuffs and hat and also for the lying snow.

The papers are by Maja.

The pine branches have been cut from a fantasy die and I've painted on some white gesso. The stars have been cut from an Yvonne Creations die called 'TwinklingStars'. I've also tucked a winterfun die cut and some corrugated cardboard  in between the layers.

The pine cones, pearl string, lace and pearl cluster are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress, Sack, Hats: Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Stormy Sky, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot
Scarf: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutter, Black Soot
Bear and Dog: Gathered Twigs, Black Soot
Box: Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain, Black Soot

Links to most of the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

I will still be creating behind the scenes, but I am signing off for a while to have a bit of rest, but I will back either after Christmas or early in the New Year once I have recharged my batteries.

Thank you to you all for the wonderful support you have given me this year and for the wonderful comments you leave me, it means such a lot.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Santa brings you what you hope for and wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!

New Challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia - Gingerbread Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Sorry for not being around much lately, but with Christmas parties, and playing catch up with Christmas cards, time is running away.

Anyway today is our last challenge for this year for  Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia  and to end the year our chosen theme is the very popular:

Anything Goes
(we would love to see lots of creations, it doesn’t have to be a card, there are only two rules, it has to be a new creation so no back linking and there must be a stamped image of Tilda or Edwin).

I have stamped up  Gingerbread Tilda  and the gingerbread man from the Snowman and Gingerbread kit from the new release and coloured her with DI reinkers. I stamped them onto Artistico extra white water colour paper with a Stazon On timber brown ink pad and sprinkled some white frantage around the outside of the image. I have also sprinkled some glamour dust on the pom pom of her hat and for the icing on the cake.

The holly has been cut from a Joy Crafts die in brown card and I've painted some white gesso around the edges.

The pine cones, pearl string and carnation are from the Ribbon Girl.

I have sprinkled some Twinklets over the roses, which gives a lovely icy look.

The ribbon, pearl string, berries, multi row pearl trim and flowers are from my crafty stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Clothes, Shoes and Hat: Gathered Twigs, Pumice Stone, Black Soot

Inspirational card - Dreamerland Crafts - My Perfect Buddy

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well and had a wonderful weekend.

This morning I am sharing an inspirational card using one of the new release Dreamerland Crafts stamps called 'My Perfect Buddy'. I am so in love with this stamp, you can also buy a coordinating die and stamp set to go with it. The stamp is made from red rubber and stamps out beautifully.

My Perfect BuddyCoordinating Die & Clear Stamp Package for Character Stamp D172012 My Perfect Buddy

I stamped the image with a Timber Brown Staz On ink pad onto Artistico extra white watercolour paper, coloured it with DI reinkers and die cut it with a circular die. The speckles around the outside of the image is white Frantage which has been heat set. For the pom pom on her hat, the fur on her boots and the lying snow I have sprinkled on some glamour dust. I then placed the circle on top of  an Ice Crystal Frame by Amy Design.

To create the circular shape of the card I used a Spellbinders circular die which I cut with white card and then with Maja papers which I edged with white Gesso paint.

The pink rose, beaded stamens and pine cones and square pearl trim are from the Ribbon Girl, the rest of the flowers and berries are from my stash. I have sprinkled some Twinklets onto the flowers,  pine cones and die cut sprawling ferns which is a magnolia doohickeys die.

The sentiment and hearts are from the coordinating die and stamp set.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - So Spooky

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you are well and have all had a fabulous week!

This morning I am sharing a card for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy. Our lovely Sasha has chosen the theme:

So Spooky

This was slightly difficult for me as as I don't generally make Halloween cards, so I don't have any dies etc., but this is what I came up with.

The image was a freebie from Elisabeth Bell which I have coloured with DI reinkers.

As I didn't have any suitable papers I embossed black card and applied some Pebeo gold gilding wax. The purple flower is from my stash and the rolled roses I cut with black card and a Joy Crafts die again I added some gold gilding wax to the tops of the flowers.

The die peeping pour on the left is a Joy Crafts die, once again I have once again cut it in black card and applied some gold gilding wax.

The broom stick I made with a cocktail stick,  some natural silsa and some twine.

The bow is made from spider web netting and I've placed a black button in the centre.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Gathered Twigs
Robe & Hat: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Dusty Concord
Broomstick: Gathered Twigs
Pumpkins: Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon

The papers are from the Hobby House.

The flowers are from my stash, but the fir cones can be bought form the Ribbon Girl.

New Challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I am sharing my card for the new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia. Our challenge for the next four weeks is:

Use Trim
(ribbon, pearl trim, seam binding, lace, twine, organza roses, pom pom trim etc)

I have coloured up an older Maggie called Tilda in Christmas Coat. The trees in the background I drew myself. I am hoping to do more freehand backgrounds. I don't think it is too bad for a first attempt.  The only trouble is it takes me quite a long time so I won't be able to do it on all of my cards until I get better and faster at it.

The frozen border die cut on the left hand side has been cut from a Jeanine's die twice and mounted on top of each other. I only placed the glue along the bottom edge so it can be opened up to give some dimension. Sitting underneath the image along the bottom is a Joy Crafts die 'Icicles Edge'.

The pearl trim, pom pom trim, lace and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

The rhinestone sparkler in the centre of the bow is very similar to the silver glitter flatbacks at the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain
Coat and Boots: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Present and Tights: Weathered Wood

The trees have been coloured with a mixture of watercolour paints and DI reinkers
burnt umber watercolour paint and walnut stain distress reinker.

Our fabulous sponsor is
The Rubber Buggy

We would love for you to share your creations with us.

That's all for now.

Thank you for popping in.

The papers are by Pion Syringa and Canus and have been edged with white gesso.

The leaves down the left hand side have been cut from a Memory Box die twice, once in coordintating Pion paper and once in brown card.

The flowers are mainly from my stash except for the ivory exotic blossom which is from the
Ribbon Girl. The cheesecloth is also from the Ribbon Girl.

The bronze charm, ribbon and tulle lace are from my stash.

The sentiment comes with the stamp.

I have been longing to colour this this beauty up, she is called Christabelle and I have coloured her with distress ink reinkers.

The shape of the card has been cut with a Crealies rectangle die. Peeping out on the left hand side is a Joy Crafts 8 point die which I have cut in white card.

The papers are from the Hobby House.

The tag has been cut from a Tattered Lace die and I have used silver embossing powder for the sentiment.

The ice crystal is a Joy crafts die which I have covered with Twinklets and popped a pearl gem into the centre.

The flowers, lace, seam binding ribbon and crystal sparkler are all from the Ribbon Girl, links to most of the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
